Beware the New Prophets has been updated and republished in 2015 ~

From the back of the book:

I have no doubt that the proliferation of wild deceptions in the church in recent years is being propagated by those very men Paul warned would come in the last times “going from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13).

Neither do I doubt these trends are preludes to the great apostasia or falling away we are told to expect (2 Thessalonians 2:3), paving the way for the ultimate ascendancy of the Man of Lawlessness. The Word of the Lord assures us that when these deceptions come, men who understand will take action and give understanding to the many as the Maccabees did in the days of Antiochus Epiphanes (Daniel 11:33-35).

As is evidenced by his previous two books, I believe my dear friend and brother Bill Randles has been shown by the Lord to be one of those who know their God and take such action. Bill is a pastor with a shepherd’s heart for the Lord’s sheep. His motive in writing this book has not been unholy anger, pride, self aggrandizement, or jealousy. His motive has been to help protect the Lord’s flock, to make other pastors aware of what is going on and to provide them with the material they need to withstand the deceptions that destroy and the wolves that devour.

The church, like Israel, has always had false prophets, but not since the early church have we witnessed as many nor as diverse an array of them as we see today paraded before us one after another on what represents itself to be Christian TV. While the times are treacherous, we can rejoice that Jesus is indeed coming soon. One sign of this is the incredible multiplication of these false prophets deceiving the elect. Another sign of His return, however, is the rise of those who repel the onslaught at our very gate (Isaiah 28:6).

In view of the urgency of the hour, I commend this book to you, that you in turn will be like the Bereans who “examin[ed] the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so” (Acts 17:11 NASB).
